Amy

Office Manager

My job is to ensure every patient has the opportunity to receive the very best dental care our office can provide. Besides scheduling and answering phones, I go above and beyond to make sure every person who walks through the door has a comfortable experience and leaves happy and satisfied. I always make sure I do everything in my power to get the most out of our patients’ dental insurance benefits by communicating regularly with many insurance companies. The most rewarding part of dentistry is getting to know and building friendships with so many people! I love talking with them and hearing their life stories.

Besides working at the dental office, I also help my husband Kevin in his two business ventures. He is a local taxidermist and owns a fur tanning business in Fairbanks. I am a proud mother of two beautiful girls. We have an active home life with our stubborn Bloodhound and small Welsh Corgi, as well as chickens and pigs. In the long winter months, I design and sell beaded wine glasses. When it’s bearable out, I pass my days with a run down Moose Mountain on my downhill skis or a ride out our backyard with the family on our snow machines.

Front Desk/Dental Assistant

I wear two hats in our office, one as a dental assistant and one as a member of the front desk team. My job allows me to help our patients have a great experience throughout our entire office, whether I’m helping with four-handed dentistry, going over treatment plans, or scheduling continuing-care appointments. I obtained my dental training in Bethel, AK at the Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation in 2004. In 2011, I joined the wonderful team at Eric Buetow DDS Inc. I love that my team and I get along professionally and personally, and consider each person here like a member of my family.

I've been married to my husband Jonathan for 12 years, and together, we have four children. We moved to North Pole in 2011 for my husband to pursue a career with the Local 375 Plumbers/Pipefitters Union. I enjoy spending time with our family, cake baking/decorating, and makeup application.

Rochelle

Registered Dental Hygienist

I began my dental career as an assistant in 1995, and continued my education at the University of Anchorage to become a dental hygienist in 2004. Being a hygienist allows me to work with all kinds of people and build relationships with them. Education is an important aspect of my job, and I spend a lot of time explaining to my patients the best ways to care for their oral health at home. I feel very supported by our team here, since the doctors are patient, kind, and do excellent dental work. They care about their patients and their staff like family.

I married Brandon in 2003 and have three children: Arina, Blayne, and Parker. We also have a Border Collie lab named Mickey and a Cocker Spaniel, Sammy. I am a hockey mom in winter and a soccer mom/coach in summer. I like quiet days to crochet, do bookwork for my husband’s truck driving business, exercise, and cook. I also enjoy our hockey road trips to bond with my kids, as well as our trips to our cabin in Central to play with our 4-wheelers, and going on hikes with my parents.

Tricia

Registered Dental Hygienist

My main focus is on preventive dental care and helping each patient achieve and maintain optimum oral health. Because I have been in this office since 1989, I have been able to get to know many of our regular patients and their families over the years. I prize those long-term relationships! I also appreciate working with a team that is able to relate to patients, and help them achieve their goals. Dr. Buetow and Dr. Hadfield strive to do the best job possible, as do I, and that is very important to me!

I feel very fortunate to have been married to my best friend since 1987. I have one son, two stepdaughters, and four grandchildren. My husband and I enjoy hiking and camping, and try to get out to the Clearwater River for fly fishing whenever we are able. In the summer, I spend as much time as possible outdoors; you are likely to find me on my deck caring for my vegetables and flowers if I am not at work. In the winter, I am likely to be found indoors, in front of my sewing machine!

Registered Dental Hygienist

I graduated from UAF with a dental assisting certificate and worked as a dental assistant from 2005 to 2011. In 2013, I graduated from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. My time with Dr. Buetow and our team here began in 2014, and I’m so happy to be a part of this team. We all have the same focus on our patients and try to provide them with the best care possible. My ultimate goal is to provide my patients with the education to become motivated to improve their oral health.

I have lived here in Alaska three different times throughout my life due to the military. My husband has since gotten out and decided to make our home here. We have two boys born in 2010 and 2017. We love being outdoors whenever possible! I try to take my kids out to the various events around the community, enjoy being active and staying fit by lifting weights, and love to read when I have a moment.

Tanya

Registered Dental Hygienist

I began my career in dentistry as a dental assistant in 2005, receiving my training right here at Dr. Buetow’s office. I decided that I wanted to pursue dental hygiene and, in 2008, was accepted in the UAF dental hygiene school. In 2010, I began my new position here as a registered dental hygienist! I am here to give our patients proper in-office oral therapy and education on how to maintain good oral health at home. The most rewarding part of my job is getting to know my patients and building a relationship with them, as well as seeing the improvements in their oral health.

I was born and raised in North Pole Alaska, and graduated from North Pole High School in 2004. I have three children, ages seven, five, and three. We love Alaska and being outdoors!

Linda

Registered Dental Hygienist

I started working as a dental assistant in 1996 and graduated dental hygiene school at UAA in 1999. I have been a part of Dr. Hadfield’s team since 2014. I provide a wide range of services, all of which prevent or treat oral disease and promote ideal oral health. It’s a team effort alongside Drs. Buetow and Hadfield, who listen and genuinely care about our patients’ needs and wants. The best part of my day is when my patients finally realize how important dental health is and make a commitment to improve their home care. Seeing the results of that commitment is what makes my job rewarding!

When I have the time, I love to write, explore new places, learn new things, and spend time with family and friends. I also like to remodel houses, garden, bike, canoe, and kayak.
